Hi everyone, my name is Dawn.. Welcome to my blog!
I am a professional Makeup Artist, catering for all occasions, weddings, nights out, festivals, you name it! My blog was born on May 5th 2015 when I became the resident blogger for award winning Irish Makeup brand Fuschia Make Up. I worked for Fuschia for 9 amazing years, starting off as a brand model for their campaigns at 17, moving on to work experience whilst at college and finally earning the title as Pro Makeup artist.
As a little girl makeup was more than a love, it was an obsession! My poor Mam would be forced to keep her collection under lock and key out of fear that I would head off to school plastered in blush and lipgloss...which did happen now and again during primary school..!
I began my professional training at 16 years old when I enrolled in The Beauty Academy in Drogheda to train with Smashbox Cosmetics. I was in 5th year in Our Lady's College Greenhills at the time and my Mam allowed me to attend my makeup college on Sundays providing my homework was all done. I then became a brand model for Fuschia at 17 years old and featured in several of their national campaigns. When I finished my leaving cert i went straight to Beauty School at Drogheda Institute of Further Education. While studying at DIFE I began my work experience with Fuschia which eventually let to a full time job. Once I graduated as a beauty therapist I made the decision to further my makeup career and for the following year I was trained by the prestigious LA Makeup Academy in Dublin.
I am now working as a freelance makeup artist and full time makeup, beauty and fashion blogger..:)
